One of my favourite memories of a Private Journey is visiting the Kyaikhtiyo Golden Rock Pagoda and Temple in Myanmar at sunset. We had our wonderful guide U Shan with us who we knew from a previous trip. He guided us to the temple taking local transportation which Buddhist pilgrims use. I was able to purchase gold leaf which I, along with many other pilgrims, rubbed onto the precariously balanced rock as the sun set. A very spiritual and beautiful experience!

The best part of a Private Journey is the flexibility one has to stop whenever you like to take a photo, ask a question or take a detour. The local guides provided by Worldwide Quest are fountains of knowledge, always ready to assist you in getting that great photo or cultural experience.

Next I am travelling to Spain to hike more of the Camino de Santiago with friends and family. It was such a rich, powerful, spiritual experience when we hiked it last year that others have asked to join us this year when we hike it again. Buen Camino!
