Patagonia Walking: Your Way

8 days | Argentina | Private Journeys
Is this the ultimate remote destination? It is surely one of the most dramatically scenic regions in the world; a land of crashing icebergs, majestic waterfalls, massive granite monoliths and serene glacial lakes. This trip takes you to both Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia for a wonderfully relaxing way to thrill to the incredible views at the end of the world. At Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park you’ll walk in virgin beech forests, admire colossal calving glaciers, stand at the foot of towering granite peaks and sit in silence under the Southern Cross. Then it’s on to Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. Based in a fine lodge in El Chalten you’ll walk in these stupendous mountains. The famous Mount Fitz Roy, its magnificent silhouette covered in clouds, stands guard above you. The trip concludes with the less frequented north face of the Perito Moreno Glacier where you’ll both watch and hear giant chunks of ice plummet into the waters of Lake Argentino.
