On our trip through this storied country, you’ll be pulled into the history behind Morocco’s cultures, a mix of Islamic, Amazigh, Arab, and European, and introduced to its ancient cities, sweeping deserts, and epic mountain ranges.

Start with at the outer edge of the Roman Empire, the fortress citadels of the Imperial Cities of Rabat and Meknes, and Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Morocco’s enthralling cultural heart. The medina here is the biggest car-free urban area in the world; the labyrinth of lanes and covered bazaars is bursting with aromatic food stalls, artisan workshops, mesmerizing Islamic architecture and ancient buildings revealing exquisite zellij tilework behind colourfully painted doors.

Morocco’s Roman history comes to life during our visit to Volubilis where our expert guide shows us intricately designed mosaics adorning the floors of ancient villas.

Follow the scenic Route des Kasbahs to discover the mud-brick architecture of the southern villages, climbing to hilltop fortress sites to photograph the extraordinary views. Here we’ll meet Amazigh people maintaining and modernizing their cultural heritage.

In Marrakesh, admire the intricate marquetry in the Bahia Palace, marvel at the iconic blue of Yves St- Laurent’s Majorelle Gardens, master the medina maze, and enjoy the evening street theatre of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.

Enjoy comfortable accommodation in a selection of hotels and riads, and a Sahara Desert camp. Savour Moroccan cuisine’s fusion of flavours reflecting the country’s history of trade and cultural influences.
