Lisa Coulter graduated from the University of Guelph in 2013 with a Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Adult Development and Family Wellbeing and a minor in French Studies. She has travelled across Canada from northern Quebec to Ontario to Northwest Territories to British Columbia, leading immersive science-based education programming in local Indigenous communities.
