She then travelled across Canada from northern Quebec to Ontario to Northwest Territories to British Columbia, leading immersive science-based education programming in local Indigenous communities. She has also guided many overnight canoe trips throughout the lakes in Muskoka, Ontario and enjoys all activities outdoors, including canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, downhill and cross-country skiing. For the past eight years, she has called Whistler, BC home, where she works as the Director of Social Services at a non-profit organization supporting the mental health needs of the community. Lisa is passionate about connecting education with nature and wilderness, meeting new people, and learning about different cultural practices.
