Mark Nuttall

Professor Mark Nuttall is a social anthropologist and holds the Henry Marshall Tory Chair in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. His work in the Arctic, North Atlantic and western and northern Canada is concerned with environmental change and resource use issues in rural and coastal communities; large-scale industrial development; climate change effects on people and their livelihoods; and the human dimensions of global environmental and sustainability issues. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and holds a visiting professorship at the University of Greenland and Greenland Institute of Natural Resources.
