Join Kari Richardson for an exciting tour capturing Spain’s great highlights from modern, edgy Barcelona to the Mediterranean seaside resort of Málaga. Spain brings us historic treasures, architectural wonders, dramatic scenery, and charismatic cities filled with life and passion.

We’re starting in Barcelona, a moveable feast of great sights, from ancient Roman city walls to the shadowy lanes of the Gothic quarter to the fantastical creations by Gaudí and the modernista masterpieces of the Rambla. Add to this fabulous tapas bars, grand markets, and a bohemian city vibe. In Madrid, we find medieval mansions and royal palaces as well as a wealth of artistic masterpieces. A day in the hilltop fortress city of Toledo is a trip back to the 16th century. Andalucia is Spain’s most fascinating and varied region for its lively culture, gorgeous scenery, and the country’s most celebrated architectural wonders — not to mention Córdoba’s world-famous Mezquita, Seville’s immense cathedral, and Granada’s fairy tale Alhambra.

We’re staying three nights in each of our bases, so there’s lots of time to wander and soak in the evocative atmosphere of each place we stay. Get ready to linger over tapas and traditional meals as we share each day’s new experiences.
