Bratislava to Prague Walking Tour

This tour is presented by the alumni associations of Western University, the University of Alberta, the University of Saskatchewan, York University, McGill University, and McMaster University. All are welcome!
 
A storybook come to life!

Enjoy a mix of walking and history exploring this region filled with fairy-tale castles, lush forests, winding rivers, and hillsides covered with vineyards.

Meet in elegant Vienna; then walk from Bratislava to Bohemian Prague, staying in four World Heritage Site locations comprising picturesque medieval towns with bustling market squares and winding little streets.

Walks take us across ancient forests dappled with wildflowers, small villages with red-tiled roofs covering cottages and stately chateaux, and farmers’ fields as crops are planted. End the day with a cold stein of pilsner or a glass of local wine and dine on Czech favourites prepared with farm-fresh ingredients.

What’s included: Accommodation based on double occupancy, in three-star hotels and bed & breakfasts as indicated or similar — all rooms with private facilities; breakfast daily; picnic or café lunches as indicated in the itinerary; six dinners; all ground transportation in 30-seat coach driven by a professional driver; water in coach during drives; all activities as described in the itinerary; local site guides; audio headsets during tours; all entrance fees to sites visited during the tour; gratuities for local guides, drivers, hotel staff, and group meals; taxes; porterage of one standard piece of baggage per person; services of our two Czech Walking Leaders; fully escorted by your Tour Manager.

Your Tour Leader

Dr. Karen Danylchuk is a Professor Emerita at The University of Western Ontario, where she taught and researched in the field of Sport Management in the School of Kinesiology, Faculty of Health Sciences. Throughout her 38 years at Western, she also served in a variety of administrative roles. Prior to working at Western, Karen taught and coached at Hong Kong International School and McMaster University. Karen has published extensively and has presented her research globally.
