South Baffin Explorer with the McMichael

Join  Inuit art expert and McMichael guest curator Dr. Nancy Campbell on an exclusive expedition exploring South Baffin Island!

In partnership with the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, One Ocean Expeditions is proud to celebrate the importance and kinship of Inuit art through an exclusive expedition exploring South Baffin Island.

Guests have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Cape Dorset, known as the “Capital of Inuit Art”. This artistic hub is the largest producer of Inuit carvings worldwide and the unique drawing and printing processes play an essential role in the community’s art scene. Through artistic interactions with local artists, guests learn about Arctic art and its meaning, bringing the culture, wildlife, and history of the region to life.

This 10-night itinerary will take intrepid travellers to the most remote regions of Canada with Inuit art expert and McMichael guest curator Dr. Nancy Campbell.

Beyond Cape Dorset, experience the incredible ecosystem and wildlife of Coral Harbour and Monumental Island alongside expert naturalists, glaciologists, and ornithologists.
