Ontario Nature Goes to Pico Bonito II

"For over eighty years Ontario Nature has been giving nature lovers across Ontario opportunities for magical experiences in the province’s wild places. We have hosted canoe trips in search of basking turtles, hikes to discover rare orchids and early morning walks in search of the elusive birds. All of these experiences help to create deep bonds among our members. Together we are a community of 30,000 people who stand together to protect the wild species we love and the wild spaces we explore. Over the past five years, we’ve taken these experiences one step further by hosting members’ trips with Quest Nature Tours to Belize & Guatemala, Bathurst Inlet in Nunavut, Panama, and Jamaica – all in support of our conservation programs.

Ontario Nature is pleased to be working with Quest Nature Tours again to provide you with another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a visit to Honduras. Our friends at Quest recently scouted this Central American country and found it to be a gem – a land of mountains and forests, beaches and coral reefs, mangroves and wilderness. We’ll be staying at a single lodge inside Pico Bonito National Park at the eponymous Lodge at Pico Bonito; our accommodations allow for easygoing discovery and serve as a fantastic base for nearby explorations. A remarkable array of wildlife is found here in this peaceful and safe part of the country, where we’ll visit a number of national parks, wildlife refuges and biological reserves, affording a chance to appreciate the work that Hondurans have made to protect their natural spaces and to delight in their wildlife.

Quest Nature Tours is directing proceeds from this tour directly into Ontario Nature’s conservation programs. Join me and Ontario Nature supporters in March 2019 to experience the wonders of Honduras on this journey of discovery!"
