This extensive voyage showcases the surprising and dramatic contrasts between some of the region’s best hotspots, from the milder Falkland Islands and South Georgia down to the South Shetland Islands and the rugged Antarctic Peninsula. After crossing the Drake Passage, we will make our way north along the glaciated coastline of the Antarctic Peninsula through the Gerlache Strait. Along the way we will explore several islands and other hidden gems by foot, Zodiac, and sea kayak. Migrating whales and seabirds will be our companions alongside the ship, and on land we will visit sprawling penguin colonies as well as historic research outposts and stations once used by great past explorers more than a century ago.

Featuring highlight after highlight of the incredible diversity of scenery and abundance of seabirds and marine mammals that the region has to offer, it is no wonder that our longest Antarctic expedition is dubbed the “Best Wildlife Journey on the Planet.”
