Jordan is a land where ancient civilizations, breathtaking landscapes, and genuine Middle Eastern hospitality come together to create an unforgettable journey. This remarkable destination offers a seamless blend of history and natural beauty, inviting travelers to explore its timeless wonders and dramatic desert scenery. Begin in Amman, a vibrant capital layered with Roman ruins, lively souks, and contemporary culture. Continue north to Jerash, one of the world’s best-preserved Greco-Roman cities, where colonnaded avenues and towering temples echo with stories of the past.

Travel south along historic routes to Petra; the legendary rose-red city carved into towering sandstone cliffs more than two millennia ago. Wander through the narrow Siq to the iconic Treasury, then discover expansive tombs, temples, and viewpoints that reveal the true scale of this ancient marvel. Good to Know

Jordan is one of the Middle East’s most welcoming and traveller-friendly destinations, known for its safety, hospitality, and rich cultural heritage. Arabic is the official language, and the local currency is the Jordanian Dinar (JOD).

Best Time to Visit

Jordan’s climate spans Mediterranean to desert conditions, with each season offering unique appeal. Spring from March to May is the best overall time, featuring pleasant temperatures, blooming wildflowers, and comfortable sightseeing. Autumn, September to November, brings excellent weather perfect for exploring Petra and Wadi Rum. Winter from December to February stays cooler with occasional rain, ideal for avoiding crowds. Summer, June to August, turns hot in the south but remains comfortable in the highlands and ideal for Red Sea beaches.

What to Eat

Jordanian cuisine is fragrant, hearty, and deeply tied to Bedouin traditions. Must-tries include:

Mansaf (the national dish of lamb and fermented yogurt), Falafel & hummus, Maqluba (layered rice, vegetables, and meat), Knafeh (sweet cheese pastry). Finish with a cup of mint tea or cardamom-scented Arabic coffee – cornerstones of Jordanian hospitality.
