Namibia, Botswana & Victoria Falls

Even the most extraordinary superlatives don’t do justice to the natural wonders we shall see on this tour. Due to its very remoteness and the severity of its climate, Namibia has remained in a relatively pristine state for 80 million years; however, it's a fragile environment. Our guides will interpret what often seems to be a barren landscape and bring it alive for us. We begin in the vibrant capital of Windhoek and head straight off to our remote lodge amidst the biggest sand dunes in the world at Sossusvlei. We’ll explore the dunes on foot, while taking extraordinary photographs and reveling in the starkness. At Sandwich Bay we explore the important coastal wetlands and in Damaraland we’ll be mesmerized equally by the pre-historic rock carvings and the desert-adapted African Bush Elephants. Etosha National Park is a large mammal lover's dream; we’ll come into peaceful contact with Giraffe, Eland, Blue Wildebeest, Greater Kudu, Gemsbok, Springbok, Black-faced Impala, Steenbok and Plains Zebra, as well as the rare Black Rhinoceros as they gather around the gleaming white salt pans and congregate at waterholes in the evening. The Caprivi Strip is a bird lover’s ‘must see’ and we’ll find Hippopotamus and Nile Crocodile in the rivers. We'll then head into Botswana at Chobe on the edge of the great Okavango Delta, a large inland delta renown for great concentrations of elephants and the abundance of wildlife in general! Our tour concludes at the iconic Victoria Falls, one of the wonders of the natural world.
